Snow Boots

All the thoroughbreds were run under her name as the Ada L. Rice Racing Stable. Top earner of that first string was Snow Boots that won his first start at Hawthorne on June 3, 1944, registering the first win for the racing stable. Snow Boots, appropriately named for his four white legs, won 7 of 21 lifetime starts including the 1946 Seabiscuit Handicap, and finishing a close third in the 1946 Santa Anita Handicap. Snow Boots certainly returned the investment of his $6,000 purchase price! Seven of the original eight purchases went on to win, including Danada Flash, and Danada Red, a consistent winner.
